i notice when im mixing my 808, it sounds fine until i start layering my main instruments. I know yal would say well its probably clipping but when i start from zero up, it will start doing it and it would be at levels where the main instrument cant even be heard well enough. When i look in the parametric eq, i notice the 808 would wobble or like light up moving left to right when hitting lower notes in my drum melody and thats when it distorts and clashes. If i try to clean that part of it out, it interferes w other notes. I have no clue what the issue is. Can i get help on what to do in layman terms, im not quite up to par on the engineer lingo, thnx lol

You mind maybe posting an example track you've mixed? It will be easier to get an idea of whats going wrong by hearing a finished track.

it could be a couple of things but what I'm reading its sound like freq. are clashing and leveling or panning is big too find a pocket for your sounds...either and more harmonics to the 808 like add distortion....trust me i know i had BG like what is this s***(michael blackman) voice. it take time to learn how to mix. start with panning and leveling first and see if that dont help
